The waste we often encounter in our environment, especially plastic waste, is a serious problem in RT 05, Pematang Gubernur Village. Most residents are unaware that plastic waste takes a very long time, up to hundreds of years, to decompose. Therefore, KKN students implemented a program to install educational boards "Waste Decomposition Time" in strategic locations near residents' neighborhoods and near community waste disposal sites. The goal was to provide easy-to-understand information and raise public awareness about the long-term impacts of their waste. These boards display the decomposition time for various types of waste, such as plastic. As a result, residents became more informed and aware, which is the first step to changing waste disposal habits. In conclusion, these boards proved effective as a simple means of raising awareness and knowledge. For maximum results, this activity needs to be followed up with concrete programs such as waste sorting and reducing the use of single-use plastics by the entire community
