Pemanfaatan Tempat Sampah Bambu Dalam Mendukung Kebersihan Lingkungan Masyarakat Di Kelurahan Penurunan

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness remains a challenge in residential areas, including Kelurahan Penurunan. One of the factors contributing to this issue is the limited availability of waste disposal facilities, which encourages improper waste disposal practices among residents. This community service activity aims to support environmental cleanliness by providing bamboo trash bins that are simple, environmentally friendly, and easy for the community to use. The implementation method consists of a planning stage through environmental observation and coordination with local residents, a production stage involving the construction of bamboo trash bins, and an implementation stage that includes installing the bins at strategic locations within the residential area. The results indicate that the presence of bamboo trash bins received positive responses from the community and has begun to be used in daily activities. The provision of these facilities contributes to reducing littering behavior and encourages greater community awareness of environmental cleanliness. Therefore, the use of bamboo trash bins can serve as an effective and sustainable initial solution to support the creation of a clean and comfortable environment in Kelurahan Penurunan.
