Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Gotong Royong Dalam Mewujudkan Lingkungan Bersih Dan Sehat Di Kelurahan Penurunan Kota Bengkulu

Abstract

The 2025 Community Service Program was conducted in RT 12 RW 04, Penurunan Subdistrict, Ratu Samban District, Bengkulu City. One of the main work programs implemented during the community service activities was “Environmental Cleanliness Together with the Community,” which focused on efforts to maintain and improve the cleanliness of the residential environment. This program aimed to examine the role of community participation and solidarity in supporting environmental cleanliness activities. The method used in writing this article was a qualitative descriptive approach through literature study and field observation, supported by data obtained from the head of the neighborhood unit (RT) and local residents. Data were collected from various reference sources, including scientific journals, books, and documentation related to environmental cleanliness and community participation.The results of the activities indicate that the implementation of collective environmental cleanliness activities in RT 12 RW 04 was able to increase public awareness of the importance of a clean and healthy environment, as well as strengthen the values of mutual cooperation, togetherness, and social responsibility among community members. This activity is expected to encourage the sustainability of community participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness independently.
